♥ Juice recipes

I bought my first juicer in 2008. A good friend of mine worked for Philips kitchen appliances and had one herself. One day, she made me a lovely apple-carrot-celery juice and after just one sip, I new it; I really wanted one of those myself.

Jason Vale, also known as The Juicemaster, worked together with Philips and had written a juice recipe book. My friend gave me one and I still use it as inspiration for my own juices today.

Juicing fruits and vegetables have tremendous health benefits. It provides high quality nutrition and it is easy to digest and absorb. But I can hear you think: “There is no fiber is juice!”. Well, actually, there is. There are two types of fibers. Soluble fiber and insoluble fiber. While juicing most of the insoluble fiber is removed but it is still present in smaller amounts. The insoluble fiber is still present in the juice. Drinking juices allows your body to absorb all vitamins, minerals and other nutrients in a more effective way.

There are a lot of different juices you can make, but I would love to share my old time favorites with you. You can make them the way I do or use them as an inspiration for your own lovely recipe. Try to use organic fruits and vegetables as they contain more vitamins and minerals and not just chemicals. Root vegetables like carrots absorb toxins like Roundup in the soil and will be concentrated in your juice!

Juices are best when consumed immediately after juicing because oxidation will kill all the healing enzymes.

Creamy Carrot Juice (2 glasses)

This is a juice I often make for my kids and they love it!

  • 6 carrots
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 apple

Juice the carrots and oranges & poor into a glass!

Dinosaur Juice (2 glasses)

Nowadays my kids love it if I make them a juice but it hasn’t always been like that. In the beginning I had to “sell” my juices to them. I gave them special names like this one, or I let them come up with a name. This juice had been called “Crocodile Juice” and “Frog Juice” before. Most kids like sweet flavors so if you want them to get used to drinking juices, just add an extra apple!

  • 4 apples
  • 2 hands of spinach
  • slice of lemon (peeled)
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 avocado (optional)

Juice the apples, spinach and lemon. Poor the juice in a blender along with the banana (and avocado)
